2018 Belfast Ukulele Festival News

The 2018 Belfast Uke Fest started with a pizza/potluck dinner and jam fest at Searsport Shores Oceanfront Camping on Friday night. Approximately 100 uke enthusiasts enjoyed fresh cooked pizza and songs with new friends and old acquaintances.
Saturday, the activities moved to Steam Boat Landing on the ocean shore in Belfast. Gerald Ross, the headliner, and local teachers Jeff Weinberger and Frets Halligan led workshops. Performances included Uke'n Be Happy from Waterville, ME, Unleashed Remedy from Brooksville, ME, Strum Dingers from Lee, ME, Flukes from Falmouth, ME, Merry Plinksters from Farmington, ME, Ukes Rock from Rockland, ME, Gerald Ross, and MidCoast Ukes from Belfast, ME on the Main Stage. Gazebo performances were by Bailey Ukulele from Winthrop, ME, Dexter Regional High School Ukes from Dexter, ME, Stone Soup Ukes with Ando Anderson from Belfast, ME, Common Good from MDI, ME, Frets Halligan from Belfast, ME, and Oxford Hills Ukulele Group (OHUG).
Fantastic raffles, food vendors, ukulele supply vendors, and Midcoast Ukes sales tables added to the enjoyment. The pictures below help show what a great time all participants experienced. Photos by David Gudas and others.
